Glaucoma

Glaucoma is characterised by progressive damage to the optic nerve. The optic nerve carries nerve impulses carrying visual information from the retina in the eye to the brain. Symptoms include loss of peripheral vision, reduced colour vision, blurred vision and eventually, if not treated, complete loss of vision.
