Optic neuropathy

Optic neuropathy describes any condition that causes the optic nerve to no longer work effectively. The optic nerve carries nerve impulses carrying visual information from the retina in the eye to the brain. Symptoms include loss of peripheral vision, reduced colour vision, blurred vision and loss of sharp focus.
